A company sales person came to our door and sold my husband a $48 magazine subscription which we have never received. When you try to call the phone number listed, it has been disconnected

On June 3, a girl came to our home claiming to sell magazine subscriptions in order to win a trip for school. My husband bought and paid $48 in cash at that time. He has never received the magazine and when I called the phone number listed on the receipt, it had been disconnected.
I would like at the very least to be reimbursed our $48 with interest. I would also like this company, it's owners and the sales person to be charged with fraud.
