I responded to a psychic website on a whim. Immediately I began receiving e-mails with "predictions" of my unfortunate situation (which could have applied to ANYONE), along with promises of great luck and a windfalls of money if I signed on and sent her/him $79. When I ignored the emails, they became increasingly urgent, telling me I needed to act now, OR ELSE...
The letters have continued for several weeks now, almost every day. It is obviously a form letter with interchangeable names. Upon reading some of the other reports on this site, I noticed that other people were promised $7700 - the exact same amount mentioned in my last e-mail. I wasn't surprised at all.
I was fed up today and decided to put an end to the e-mails. At the bottom of the latest one, there is an "unsubscribe" option which then links you to the tara-medium website. There you are asked to enter your e-mail in order to unsubscribe; when you do, it tells you it's an invalid address - this is ludicrous because the e-mails were being sent to that exact address the whole time. I guess in some way you "get what you deserve" when you respond to a flaky website like this, but this is just ridiculous...
