When I signed up with Chemistry.com, the site clearing stated that the subscription rate was for one month and was not an automatic charge. That statement was false. I watched my expiration date and decided I would not renew the subscription. I then noticed that my subscription date was then extended another month. Sure enough, I checked my credit card statement, and there was a charge for a new month which I did not approve.
In addition, it appears that some profiles and the site are also a scam. I was surprised to notice that so many men in my middle age group were listed as widowed. If you read the profiles, they begin to sound similar and contain similar misspellings and improper usages of words. And what made me more suspicious was one contact I received from a perspective dater.
The perspective dater that contacted me through chemistry.com started using phrases and terms too endearing for people who have never met. I googled his phrases and again those exact phrases came up as a dating scam. As I searched the perspective daters name and location, again information came up as a dating scam.
This website appears to be a scam.
