I found the write invite on the website and saw a very nice wedding invitation for my wedding. When we met with Gillian the owner of the branch in California she showed us several samples of wedding invites. The invite we chose was black and had a black and white picture of the couple. It was very nice and classy looking.
We ordered only 25 cards since our wedding was small, we were actually inviting only 12 couples. We got proofs via email and it looked fine on the screen. They charged us almost $600 for the invites, which we were ok with but when they took more than 3 weeks to get the invites to us we realized it wasn't worth it. The were very late in getting the cards to us which left me with less than 4 weeks left to my wedding date and RSVP date and some people needed to make travel arrangements.
Once we received the invitations we saw that the quality was very bad, our black and white picture on the invitation was basically a xerox copy glued on each card. It was a bad quality photo, I could have done much better on my own and saved myself $600. It was embarassing to send this to our guests.
In the end I had to send the invites because I had ran out of time and didn't have time to go to someone else and print new invitations. It was so embarrasing to sent those to people and on top of it get ripped off and pay $600 for 25 invites that look very poor quality. The invites looked like they were home made. The office we went to see Gillian was in her home, so I don't know!
I contacted Gillian and explained about our disappointment in the quality, she and her printer insisted that the photo was good quality and it was the same as the sample, and it was not, but they insisted that they did no wrong. They said I can return all the invites to them for full credit, which was rediculous, my wedding was coming up in 4 weeks what did they expect me to do, email people to invite them to my wedding!
The said they will give me a 5% discount, which is a joke and an insult.in the end they charged all their $600 from us. Gillian was rude in her emails to me and made it clear that her focus was not customer satisfaction and being affordable, it was to make big money and rip people off. It was a big mistake on our part to go with them. We paid a very high price for our mistake.
Do not get your wedding invitations from the write invite. They have other locations one is in Chicago or Illinois. They are a huge rip off. Who has ever heard of $600 for 25 invites that are in black and white with a very very very poor quality. Honestly, if the quality was superior, which it should be for that price, we wouldn't mind paying for it, but the quality was not even worth $100.
We got ripped off by the write invite.
