On 5-26-03 i recieved a callfrom a representative of united card services. They told me that it shows that in the last 18 months i have applied for a credit card and that they work with the credit bureau. Supposedly the credit bureau will send them a report of people who are in debt. This credit card was going to have a 7,500 credit line and would have no fee's. I would only have to pay 299.00 for a one time fee. That would enable me to have 0% apr for 5 years. With the credit card i would also recieve an offer for a vacation to mexico. 5 days 4 nights. That was good for 2 people for 1 year. Through a company called mini vacations.
I was to recive the credit card in 3 weeks. It's been over 3 weeks so i called the customer service number i was given. Aparently i can not connect to the place i am calling from where i am at. I thought that was wierd so i called again and got the same message. I live in alaska but since it is a regular phone not a cell i should be able to reach them. That is when i decided it was definitley a scam and that i should check on the internet. I checked and i found that site. Since i also have caller ID i also have the number i was called from. Fortunately i decided to save it. It was a number in canada. I found that out yesterday the number is 416-964-1803. I am going to go to my bank and see if i can get my money back.
