MulvannyG2 Architects took a large retainer from me to design some commercial property. They promised to deliver on an agreed upon schedule the schematic design, and instead, laid off the staff who was working on my project. Even worse, the managing Architects had no idea my project even existed, and did not inform me that nobody was working on my project. As the deadline passed 2 months later, I contacted the firm, and they passed me to 4 different people, before I demanded to speak to the Principal in charge of the firm, Mitch Smith. It took 2 weeks before my phone call was returned. A month later, an intern presented a concept to me that looked like a high school art project. I rejected the design, and the firm sent me a letter terminating the contract, and keeping my $20,000 retainer.
I have had lawyers calling the firm to demand compensation, but they will not even talk to me. I later found out that the firm was in serious financial shape, and that they were involved in a federal investigation regarding illegal and unethical practices.
Stay away from MulvannyG2 Architecture.
