DO NOT register to this company online and pay them $1 because that $1 will cost you dearly!
I am facing redundancy as a single parent and was looking for some marketing tips to kick start my new business venture. I naively paid the $1 (although I'm in the UK) and I received nothing. I received an automated email with a 'donotreply' address on it and they even spelled 'confirmation' wrong and spelled it 'conformation'!
I then went to fill up my car with petrol and tried to make a purchase from a reputable company and my card was declined. I called my bank straight away which confirmed that there were amounts leaving my account for a company called HEALTH & BEAUTY (a non-UK company). I'd never heard of them and I certainly hadn't ordered from them.
Smaller amounts were also leaving my account for 63p and 92p and so on, which made the fraud team at my bank sit up and take notice. They put a stop on my account immediately and I did some research of my own. I looked at all the companies I'd bought something from online in the last 2 weeks and then I googled them all for scams.
Sure enough Google Profit House Online was right up there!
I now have to fill out a claim form for the bank to dispute the transactions in order to get my money back which could take weeks. This fraudulent company has taken 120 so far but it could have been worse.
