Jose's Painting Services, josespaintingfl.com) Jose Guillen PAINTING DISASTER!

SUMMARY
I am a young 26 year old man who recently purchased his first home which needed to be painted. I did not know a thing about contracting in general so I turned to google to find a painter. I came across josespaintingfl.com and called Jose Guillen. I would like the world to know that Jose Guillen and his un documented company josespaintingfl.com is a SHAM. He is a fake and a liar and he just tells you exactly what you want to hear to get your money and then he hires inexperienced painters off of the street which he never met before. He will treat your home with utter disregard, he will leave workers in your home unsupervised. He will lie lie and destroy your house. He is completely unprofessional and he discusses the details of his business with you such as his budget, managing his workers, and how hard it is to be a painter. Again, never use Jose Guillen and his fake company josespaintingfl.com or jose's painting services unless you want you house DESTROYED.
*THE FULL STORY*
He answers the phone in a very nice tone and seems very friendly. Little did I know what jose's painting or jose's destruction had in store for me. Jose came to meet with me to view my condo to talk about the project and negotiate. The most important part of our negotiation was that my house would not be damaged by the work being done and returned to me in good order. Jose said "yes I promise, one of the most important things to me is cleanliness... I am really clean and most people know me for that... I will come to your house before I paint to cover the floors and areas where we will be painting." The second most important part of the deal was that Jose would be on site from start to finish. He again promised and told me exactly as I wanted to hear-no quotes necessary. I also asked him whether he can fix some of the bumpy areas on my wall and he said "yes we should be able to patch things up and make everything flat." I live in a condo so contractors are required to submit insurance before they enter the complex. I asked jose whether he had insurance or certificate of incorporation and he said "oh yeah, I just started the company so... Um... Were still working on that." Moreover, the convenient location he talks about on his site is actually his home rather than a business location. Also, most of the experience he claims to have came from working for another company. I gave him the chance to fulfill the contract nonetheless. On the day of work, Jose shows up with 2 workers. Right after they start painting, he vanishes for the entire day. Then he comes back to ask my opinion of his workers since it was their first time working for him. He left two workers in my house without ever seeing how they paint. He hired them the day before my job began. This was my first time doing this so I had no idea whether they were doing things right or wrong. Every time I suspected something, Jose would just tell me "Its just wet, it needs to dry." At the end of the first day, Jose comes over to me and asked me for my advise on how to manage his workers better since he suspected that his workers, the ones he never worked with before may not have worked hard enough... Shocker. He then expressed to me with dissappointment that its hard to find good employees these days so it wasnt that comforting knowing that he left 2 workers there whom he had never seen paint before in my house and he himself did not have confidence in them. On the second and third day, jose fired one of his workers and I only had one of the employees in my house. Ofcourse jose left for the day to tend for other matters. A few days later, I take a look at my house and see bumps all over the place. I ask jose why that was and he said "Oh umm... I said we would patch things up... You need to plaster these walls if you want them flat" - SO I SAID TO HIM WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE-I TOLD YOU I WANTED THIS TO BE FLAT DIDNT I? I then took a look around my apartment, there was paint alll over the place. On my windows, custom wood floors, railings. Jose also took the liberty of using my 1500 dollar sink and 2000 dollar custom glass mosaic countertop as his work station where he would dump buckets of paint, wash brushes and store tools. There was paint in between all of the grouted tiles which needed to be recleaned and regrouted and in between the planks of solid walnut which I paid thousands of dollars to insall. The sink was pulled out of place and was completely worn down due to the rough nature of the brush cleaning and tool handling. It was at that moment that I had enough. I brought a plasterer to my house to replaster the entire house. Then jose volunteered to paint my house from scratch at a reduced rate and I figured it would be clean since the plasterer covered my entire house with plastic, aka doing what jose should of done, or made it jose proof. On the last day as they were finishing, jose wanted to make some time on clean up since he was paying his workers hourly. He began to clean before painting was done. All of the dust and dirt from the plasterer was dumped all over my floors, the paint which was not complete yet added to it, and jose left my apartment in shambles with his workers garbage all over my floors as well as the plastic which covered them inthe first place. I will add pictures in the next few days as I just moved in and need to get internet connection in my apartment. Being inexperienced, when he was done the second time around, I paid him hoping that he would come back to touch up the paint as painters usually do. That night, Jose contacts me at 11:00 pm andd tells me that I owe him money for the work he did on the first time around, that he will not come to touch up my house, and that he wishes to sue me. I took pictures of everything and will show you guys what he is capable of - I will update this post to tell you how this progresses. I plan on taking him to small claims court. The moral of the story is that if a portly man with mustache named Jose Guillen comes to talk to you about painting, be prepaired to pay double to repair the damage he will do to your home, some of it being irrepairable.
