*Note Identity Sweep seems to operate as Dante Marketing LLC. They are the same or they share credit card (personal) information so either may chage your accont and claim to be innocent. One gets blocked or discovered the other steps in.indentitySweep is supposed to protect credit info that is their job, but they were worse than who they were ooking for. Unbelievable. Go to their few websites today and click contact us and nothing happens, and there is no phone numbers there.
Identity Sweep (Dante Marketing) contacted me for a free trial of Identity Sweep. I said okay, planning to cancel but let them have the few dollar trial fee and see what they had, since the salesman was so forceful. I decided against it and called to cancel within requisite time. I could not make contact with Identity Sweep by phone, they take messages but do not return calls. No live person. I emailed them, and they responded that a person would contact me soon. Also in that email, they sent a email address to contact them again. I called them again. No answer just voicemail, and no response. Then I called the bank. The bank started an action against them and credited back a couple $19.95 charges by Identity Sweep, I let the few dollar trial charge go.
Recently, I noticed a $19.95 charge on my statement that i had missed. Identity Sweep had switched to Dante Marketing and was charging again $19.95 a month. They got in 3 charges before I noticed it. I thought Identity Sweep was gone. I called Dante Marketing. They answered the phone. They were very rude, made me repeat everything they asked me half a dozen times. As I told them about this problem with their account, they continued to not understand and ask for everything repeated. Finally, they said they did not understand me. I gave up.
I actually forgot about them for a week or two and then I received a bank statement with the $19.95 charge. I called Dante again, this time they knew me and told me I had made this charge and that they would cancel my account. After some rudeness and not being able to hear me, and insults, they gave me a cancellation number. This all probably took several minutes to do, the way they were dodging me. I asked them to refund my money for the $19.95's because I couldn't cancel, because they, as Identity Sweep, would not contact me back or answer any phones. NO, they said they were not going to give me any money (my money). I told them this was robbery and they said, that's my problem. They can only cancel, because "I" made the debt.
I called the bank and the bank said I should have cancelled the credit card so they could not use that card to make fraudulent charges. Bank of America said it was my fault. Because the Federal law protects thiefs if they fraud your card after 60 days. You are supposed to have cancelled it.in the past, however I had problems like this and I always kept the same card to use again and keeping protection. But the bank said this fraud activity was all part of the same incidence so you got 60days to get rid of them yourselves or get them to leave your account alone. I thought the bank did that. Bof A said they had no way to stop them from continuing toput through charges and that I was supposed to catch them. Even if they changed their name to Century 21 or something.
While Identity Sweep was allegedly protecting me they were robbing me!!! They did not provide anything of notice like any kind of fraud protection or checks that I ever saw, I think they don't have that capability and this pure fraud.
I am convinced they are common criminals who have nothing better to do than rob you of your money. There is no service, besides, I wasn't even their customer.
Bottom-line, these savvy crooks use two companys to attack your credit card. After one company is discovered, they use a second company that says when discovered they were just collecting their debts. They get through your and the banks fraud checking undetected. Since it seems like another company, you don't know anything negative about. But they use the claim of the same debt to say you still owe, them and claim to be innocent about all this.
These people have a dangerous criminal mentally, they are very haughty and flippant about spending your money behind your back. Stay clear of them and anything like them.
