A few times I had noticed that a certain clerk (short, chubby, fat round face with matching fat round cheeks) would ring out their pricey colored glass pipes on a calculator when selling them (a handheld calculator produces no paper nor keeps any transactions in memory).
I did some investigating to make sure that it was just not just a fluke one time occurance, but this happened more than once. It was not just a few cents but close to ten dollars over their stickered total. The messed up part is the guy said that if you purchase two he will give you "a good deal on both of them buddy"! (Ten dollars over the marked price is only a great deal in bizzarro world buddy!)
He rang the items up on a calculator that he fetched from the ajacent back room and then proceeded to robb me. I left the store sat in my car and tallied up the prices on the stickers to a total which was ten dollars less in which I had paid. This was the third time and now I had my proof that he, at the very least, was ripping me off. I called the store on my cell phone and told him that I knew he overcharged me and I was coming back to retreive my money. He gave it back to me no problem, maybe because there were several customers in the store and I was using loud words like stole, robbed, ripped-off and I also told everyone to check the prices on the products to the price on the register (or the paperless/no trail leaving calculator).
I have been back to purchase more glasswear from the same man. Now since I let him know he ripped me off, now at least for me, the thief no longer uses the calculator to ring up the glasswear I buy, and if it doesn't have a sticker, I will not buy it (his word is worthless).
A side-story from the main one:
I also had purchased a grinder (that looks like a cyclindrical chamber to a six-shooter revolver type pistol) in the same instance as the story above. I asked this crook if I could look at one of the "bullet" grinders (everything is kept behind a glass counter) and the one he handed me was missing the ass end of the bullet (not the bullet but the flat part the gun hammer strikes), like it had fallen out. So I said that I wanted another because that one was broken. Do you know what this outstanding business man did? He put the piece that fell out back in and handed me the same one and acted like it was a completely different grinder. Because the little end piece fell out three seconds after I had gotten it home. A little superglue fixed it like new but the point is that this guy cares so little about his customers. To do something so blatent and disrespectful, he could have sold me an unbroken one, then later have gone and glued the piece back in the broken one to sell it to the next man. But to quickly rigg it back together knowing there is a HUGE chance it will fall out again, just after I had mentioned that I did not want to purchase that particular item for just that particular fact, is grossley disrespectful.
These acts lead me to believe that this is a person who has no morals, class nor pride and will do this to anyone, all for the sake of fattening his pockets and belly (also his fat face and cheeks!).
This clerk and place should be investigated.
