A neighbor brought over this Miguel Chappell and recommended him to work with horses because he was living at his place and needed money. I gave him $350.00 in Nov. 2008 to put 30 days on my horse. He put 6 days on him and then went to a sale. 2 months went by but the weather was poor so I told him when it stopped raining to come and put in the rest of the 30 days. After 3 months I started asking when he was going to finish and he acted as if I was bothering him.
I finally said something to the people he is staying with and he came over 2 more times in a 2 week period and that was it. When I confronted him, he said he would give my money back... That was 4 months ago. He also traded for one of my warmbloods, his value, $5000.00. He was supposed to start 3 horses for the trade.
After 2 weeks he took the horse to an auction, worked one horse for 8 days and never saw him again. He has a big smile and will tell you what you want to hear... He is a true con man. While purchasing alfalfa I ran into a man that also had bad dealings with this person and he did the same thing to him. He is not a man of his word and I would not recommend him... Beware!
