I recently made contact with two people who currently work in the Dairy Department and they told me lots of ways we Farmers are getting ripped off. You large Farmers had better really start checking your bills. When us little Farms cancel out on Maintenance they go to your big Farms. Eric Risser the Dairy Manager does bids and tells us one price only to add thousands to the bill at the end. And he says sorry that stuff was not in the bill. We pay fourt nine dollars an hour for two guys to come out and do maintenance on our farms. Did you know they get commision? So if your Milk Hoses don't need changed for another three months you can bet they will be changed anyways! It has happened to me and I have found out recently it has happened to several Farmers. The Man in Charge of the Maintenace takes six hours to do a job that should take two.Us farmers do not pay attention because we trust the Co-Op. But I tell you now the information I got shows me they can not be trusted. Watch a Maintenance one time they are at your farm. Ask questions like:, What do you all do to fix that part and how long does it take. If you care about your money you will. There is a Farm called Rec Calfee Farm. This Farmer Bragged about making so much money he gave himself a two hundre and fifty thousand dollar bonus. The dairy Manager Ordered his guys to mark up special items higher for him. I heard this on a tape recording folks! Valley Farmers Co-Op is such Ripp Offs that they had a guy working for them by the name of Richard for two years. This guy Richard has been to our family farm. Nice guy. Valley Co-Op laid him off and told him they had no work for him. This Man makes contact with another company that does the same type of work that is willing to give him a job. Well he had signed a Non Compete three months after he started. Eric Risser told him he was going to start sending him to schools so he needed to sign it. Valley Co-Op sent him to one School and never another one. This man kindly asked Eric Risser to release him from the Non Compete so he could work to support his Family. I read all the E-Mails he sent to Eric Risser asking for help to support his family. Eric Risser told him to go around and get copies of applications he put in at other jobs. Our Economy is in bad shape folks. This Eric Risser wanted Richard to waste gas getting this stuff to him. Richard has two children to support and a home to pay for. Valley Co-OP could care less. Is this the type of business we want to support? Some of us Farmers get a check for money we spent with Valley. Have you ever thought that money may be your anyways? You spend Seventy eight dollars on a milk plate that cost them thirty eight. Well they take Ten Profit and put that Ten aside for you. That is just an example. Something for you to think about when you think they are great and trustworthy. Do you also know that they kept a employee only because he has a eletrical license that Valley can use? An employee who tears up stuff on our farms and don't really know nothing. He changed a Motor that only needed the reset button pushed. Valley Farmers Co-Op is not Farmers friend. If they can find a way to Ripp You they will. If they can not care about a man and his family possible going homeless to honor a Non Compete they could care less about ripping you. It will list farmers that have been wronged by Co-Op and a complete price list of what they pay for items so you can see what they charge you. It will also list certain things you can do yourself to save money.
