Would not accomodate disabled associate

I began working for the store in November. I first worked as a cashier then I was assigned to put clothes away. It was a palsy $8.75 an hour, but with this economy, any job is good. I have a college degree but I really needed a job.
The Lake Zurich store opened in late December, thus I began working there.initially I was doing carts (putting away objects on shelves.) Without warning they took me off shelves and had me doing the fitting room. They told me I wasn't going fast enough.
I was miserable doing the fitting room and they knew it. But I had a simple request.By state law, I'm disabled (have a handicap placard.) I can not stand for long durations of time. So I asked simply if I could have a stool to sit on or at the very least sit down a few minutes each hour.
I gave doctor's notes to both my boss and HR. The HR, Selena Davis (whom is very sarcastic and vicious) told me they couldn't provide me a chair/stool as it was against company rules/regulations. I know however, law and the ADA/EEOC state that the company must accommodate for any disability. That the disability accommodation supersedes that of the company's. I wasn't asking much for petes sake!
Since my note stated I needed accommodations such as a stool or sitting down every hour and they wouldn't provide me with that I was put on leave of absence without pay. I was told to get a "modified note" they conformed to company regulations. So for 2 weeks I was without work and pay because I asked for an accommodation! Against his will I had my doctor distort his notes so I could work!
At first he modified it just to sit down every hour. Wasn't good enough. I was told by Selena Davis that it had to be every 2 hours I could sit down. I reluctantly went back to my doctor and got a note stating every 2 hours I can sit. They would accommodate me only doing that.
So, I went back to work and I stood there with my back in agony. One night, a supervisor by the name of Rachel was giving night time assignments. I told her I should have a stool to sit down in. She went to the assistant manager who in turn goes to HR.
I get called into the office and Selena Davis asks do I have a note. For crying out loud I already gave her that note. I had a new note but told her I was afraid to give it to her because they would not let me work again. She smirked.
She denied ever telling me to alter the notes. When I told her about EEOC and that my disability has to be conformed to legally she laughed. I threatened to sue her personally for all this aggravation she laughed again.
By the way I went above her to the head of HR which is located in Milwaukee, WI. Her name is Julie Pyszora. Being the efficient organization they are, she never returned my phone call. I stated the whole case but she couldn't even acknowledge me. I also sent her a certified letter and still no response.
I no longer work for the organization and I'm glad to be away from such a miserable lot as Selena Davis and the management at the Lake Zurich Goodwill. I worked hard there, did my job but no seemed to care about me.
I would like to see them penalized over the misery they caused me. Hopefully someone who reads this can help me.
TO THE CONSUMER, do not support this organization. They state they have a "mission, " and constantly thank you for supporting "that mission." The mission is to help the disabled people. I guess they can't assist their own disabled even though they are legally required.
Don't shop here, don't support these people who don't practice what they preach. Donate your items to salvation army or to any worthy cause!
