Owner Glenda Lugay pretends to support new up and coming designers by asking them to submit designs to her. And the first time you talk to her she will probably be super sweet and will butter you up by saying she will sell your designs to all her amazing contacts at all the big magazines and all her celebrity friends (the name dropping was dizzying). Well BEWARE: she will refuse to return your designs/goods to you or refuse to pay you for sold designs from consignment.
My experience with her was made more horrible by the fact that she has a huge attitude problem - yelling profanities at me on the phone - and was impossible to have a reasonable conversation with. I simply wanted to be paid for what was sold and apparently she was too busy to talk to me - ever! She even went as far as to hang up on me several times and pretend that her store number had changed (even though it is her voice on the phone). A quick search told me that this woman has conned more than one designer/company. I was initially really happy to work with a store in Beverly Hills but this store is one big scam - don't let the postal code fool you. So, do not sell or send anything to her unless you have cash in hand because it will be the last you see of your designs and the last you hear from her.
