I purchased a pup from Steve Quick in the beginning of 2008. It arrived with 3 types of worms including tape worms, round worms, and heart worms. (I live in Alaska which is a heart worm free state) She also had large, hard, cracked scabs on every part of her body including the top of her head! These sores oozed green puss. She was extremely underweight and withdrawn. I immediately took her to the vetranarian and they were absolutely appauled at her condition. My vet said that she had never in her 17 years of practice seen any case like it. When I emailed Mr. Quick about the situation he replyed saying that soon the worms would be gone and I would have a fine pet. I breed Jack Russells and had about 7 of them at the time plus 8 puppies. Never before had my breeding program ever had tape worms or any worms other than round worms. From the time I recieved that pup to this day I still have bouts of tapeworm because of him. Luckily I was not one of the people that recieved their pup with parvo, half dead. My girl is now the star of the show despite her horrendous beginning. I am just glad that she was born so solid, because if she had been sensitive at all like most Ridgebacks are, she would have been ruined. Feel free to include me in any and all action toward this horrible man as he should be given some life threatening disease and made to sleep on concrete with bread and water once a day. Add a pack of dogs attacking him on occation in the extreme heat of Texas with no repreive and he might think twice about what he's done. That's just my opinion on the matter. Mr. Quick needs to be stopped!
