My experience with Citi-Spaces nearly left my family homeless. They have kept the first, last and security money on an apartment that we did take. We are taking legal action against them. Clarence Johnson, Andrew Green and Isreal Horowitz are all to blame for this situation.
Clarence Johnson negotiated a lease for us at the 305 Lofts in Brooklyn in early March. All paperwork was filed and deposits given. Two weeks went by and, after many, many phone calls, there was no word on an exact move-in date or a signed lease returned. We were assured that we would still be getting the apartment, it just was not legal yet.
Another week went by and we decided that we could not wait to see if this situation was going to work out. We asked to rescind the lease. They assured us that we would have a place to live, "so please hang tight." Then the story changed. The apartments were "maybe" going to be ready, but there were some "banking problems." We could move our stuff in and they would work out a "possible reimbursement for a hotel and prorate the rent." Andrew Green then told us it would be OK and we should move in without a lease. At this point we decided to rescind the lease. It was accepted by the owners and our money from them was returned. Citi-Spaces will not return their portion of the money, and we are now taking legal action.
I read another review on this site and passed it off as a jilted ex-employee. I assure you that this woman was not exaggerating. Isreal Horowitz is dishonest, and it would serve you well not to use this service.
