In1998 an accident broke my neck @ 2 levels leaving me, a father of 3 school age kids crippled with no way to earn a living. So I applied for SSI disability Living in a small country town I was drawn to Binder and Binder (from Now on referred to as B&B) by their non stop TV commercials. After hiring B&B I was assigned a "Case Rep. "each time I called B&B to tell them they made another mistake like, Spelling my name wrong and retrieving some strangers med. Records, adding them to my file, presenting them to SSI, and I was billed by the hosp. That sent the wrong records. I was assigned a new case rep who, not only had a VERY hard time with the English language but knew little or nothing about my case. They butchered my paper work so bad that I had to redo it myself or my case would have been closed! So I fired them, in writing (As Per SSI instructions. B&B called, apologized and assured me that there would be "No Charge".
Well, 7 years later, after winning approval all by myself, I get a letter from SSi stating that they will be with holding my entire monthly checks for 4 months due to them "over paying me." B&B petitioned SSi for payment claiming that they were owed over $4000 for the paper work that they did in the 30 days before I fired them! Thank God I knew enough to appeal this decision and still had all the paper work to prove my appeal. I called B&B and after much arguing they changed the amount wanted from me to $1,400. I had to appeal this decision as well. For a law firm that says they have the disabled best interest in mind, They sure fought hard to take my only source of income for doing nothing more than complicating my case.
