About a year ago, I was sent information (unsolicited) by International Speakers Network. I am currently a professional speaker and am busy, but thought for $500 I would give it a try, they could get me out there to a wider audience. They were very nice and helpful.
To date they have not even offered me a single event. All they do on a regular basis is solicit me to attend their workshops, sell me promo materials and tell me about other speakers they have booked. I have contacted all speakers they have booked asking about ISN and gotten no response.
I am going to contact the Tennessee Attorney General to investigate them. It is pretty genius, most people, speakers in particular, make enough money that for $500 we will just be annoyed and move on - not complain legally and put them out of business. But it is NOT fair to those who really hope that ISN will give them business and who don't have the $500.
At one point my assistant contacted them and asekd to see what they send out about me to potential events. Their line of BS was so bad it was actually funny. We don't have it, our computers crashed that is why we lost all your information. So, she asked, "Why didn't you contact us to get it again?" We were going to, thank goodness you called.
Please, please don't waste your money. It is sad, and astonishing that they can still be in business. It is a total scam.
