On August 13, a friendly gentleman named Rich Poole, came to my door asking if I was interested in purchasing a magazine subscription to help him win a trip. He said that he was from a communications college and this fundraiser would give him 170 points and put him in the running for the trip. He talked a good game and struck a nerve.
I then proceeded to buy a 2 year subscription to HOME Magazine for $61.00. He said the product would start arriving 120 to 160 days from the date of purchase. On this day, March 6, it still hasn't got here.
With only the address of the company, I googled it to see if I could find a website or phone number. What I saw was incredible!!! Consumer complaints, Fraudulent Company, They took my money, Etc..
I've learned my lesson, and there will be no more sales from my door again. Not only has this company ripped me off, but they made it bad for anyone else that comes to my door. My advise to everyone is to reject any sales from solicitors. Let them stand outside the mall.
