I just recently pulled my credit report recently and discovered a new entry from 1999 for American Credit Educators showing a very past due amount of around $300.00.
I was shocked to discover this entry and decided to call the company to dispute the charge. The representative who answered did not even acknowledge my complaint that this was never authorized and fraudulant and said she could make payment arrangements and possibly lower the bill.
Toward the end of the conversation she was bitterly rude and told me that I would have to call back on Monday.
Then I discovered this web site on the internet among other websites with complaints about this scam company and will have my attorney send them a legal advising of the lawsuit that will come under unless this is dropped off of my credit report.
Its good to know I have this website and its complaints behind me if it has to go to court.
