I requested and received a pre-approved credit card from HSBC bank with balance transfer offers and in introductory APR.
When I received the card, the credit limit was not high enough to cover the balance transfer (which had not been done yet). The card had not been activated.
I immediately contacted HSGC in writing and by e-mail to instruct them t close the account, "marked closed at consumer's request." They had enough time to close the account but refused to stop the balance transfer.
I have contacted them repeatedly to reverse this transfer and credit the apllicable fees. They have refused. I have filed a dispute but still nothing has happened.
I do not want two credit cards with balances which is why I was going to have them make the transfer but when it couldn't cover the amount it didn't make sense to make a partial tranfers. Again, they wer notified immediately and before the transfer was processed. I also notified my credit card company to reverse the payment but they have not done so either.
I need this transferr reversed. What can I do., They obviously do not listen; only to what they want to hear.
