Dont do business, they mess up the sizing

When all the girls ordered their dresses, they put in a recommended size, however on my receipt they did not and called me a month after we were in there. I already paid for my dress and did the measurements when all the other girls placed their orders. The measurements were on my receipt. They called and asked what size I wanted. The dress was a two piece dress. I am a large chested woman and so I asked her to order whatever size was recommended for the top as if I even lost weight, I do not loose weight there. She recommended a size 20 top and indicated that a plus size dress was more money. I told her I did not care or mind paying the difference as long as the dress fit. I did however ask for an 18 bottom. She told me to send her an email confirming the size and so I did.

When the dress came in, the top was way to small. My girlfriend who was recommended a size 18 and able to wear a 16, fit her with no problem, but it did not fit me at all. SO to cover themselves, they wrote in under the recommended size "22", however neither my copy nor the copy on the dress says that. THey keep saying they recommended a size 22 when they did not. They sent the dress back to Alfred Angelo who did say that it was in fact a 20 as I was thinking maybe it was mistagged. Then they also tried to tell me that a size 22 costs even more than a size 20 and thats why I did not go with a 22, which is not true nor was I told that. I ordered a size 20 because they said that is what I should go with.

They told me I can pay for alterations and they will be able to get the dress to fit, however, their alterations are horribly expensive and why should I pay when they messed up. They had the size chart in front of them when they called me. All I had was my measurements.

I also have lost weight since the initial measurement as well.

So now I am stuck with a dress that I cannot wear, I am thankful I have four months to loose enough weight to fit into my dress, but then again why should I.

Also everytime the bride calls, they keep assuming it is me calling and when she tells them she is the bride and her name, they still call her by my name.

All these people care about is making the sale not the person. The customer is never right.

Do your research you will see I am not the only one they screwed up on, however I was nieve and did not do the research before I purchased my dress.
