I have been attempting to get my house key back from this individual since the summer of 2008. I e-mailed, faxed and phoned. She told me in July she'd return it after the holidays. Since then she never responds to e-mails, nor my fax. I tried to phone today and the person answering said I had the wrong number.
I sent an e-mail today which was returned as undeliverable and I checked the website which is no longer valid. I now have to go through the trouble of changing my locks and am leary of ever using a pet sitter again. It was my first experience doing so. I wrote a personal check to her and did not have a problem with that so credit card fraud is not a worry. As far as I can tell, nothing in my house was taken but I now fear she if she is awol with house keys that she could or have someone else enter for her. I now wonder if she even gave my cat his daily medicines as that is the only reason I hired a sitter this time instead of using my neighbor.
I totally regret this decision especially after reading this happened to someone else. Off to do some more research on this person and find a locksmith asap.
