Staples has allowed false advertising to occur and is not apologetic for wasting the consumer's time.
In this week's circular, there was a computer desk on sale for $100 marked down from $189.
The day the sale began on Sunday March 9. I ordered this item on the internet.
Today (Tues March 11) I was informed via email that the item is out of stock.
I called the customer service number and was told that the item was out of stock since Sunday (the start of the sale).
So I asked for a raincheck since I was told they would be in stock in 4-5 days and they refused to issue one.
So I proceeded to inquire how is it that they allow false and fraudulent advertising to occur?
To advertise a sale for an item they do not have in stock and then refuse to offer a raincheck.
I was then told there was nothing that could be done.
I then cancelled my order and will not do business with this store again.
To many companies have forgotten the meaning of "customer service" and it no wonder that businesses are suffering.
