Noticed a charge of $14.95 added to my house phone billing. Contacted AT&T re the charges. Customer Services could not remove any charges from my bill. She suggested that I contact the "third party" that requested payment on my AT&T account directly. I have called the 800 number over 25 times with the same result: busy signal. When I explained that the number had been busy, she suggested that I keep trying.
Since I'm trying to refinance my home, these charges could ding my credit over a measily amount until it's clarified.
How can any company get away with these practices??? Even more reason not to give any company authorization for auto debit on your bank account. I can't imagine how many unsuspecting folks have paid this charge.
