ABC Leasing is among those companies that are suckering business owners into non-cancellable leases that no idiot would enter if all the facts were disclosed. When I started my business, I used a merchant company at the advice of another business owner. That salesperson actually came to my residental home before the business was opened and had me enter into the merchant agreement. When I talked to them on the phone prior I asked about the machine and they said it came with their services! I didn't even know that I was signing a non-cancellable lease (for 5 Years) to the tune of almost $3,000 for a frigging machine I could buy outright for a couple hundred bucks??? How can they get away with this??? The salesperson overhelms you with jargon and talk of all the money you will make but never mentions you will be peronally liable for this NONCACELLABLE lease. This practice should be illegal.
If a situation continues overhelmingly that anyone can clearly see is not a smart or economical move, it must be happening under fraudulent practices. I am not a foolish person, in fact, I am a Certified Public Accountant and I got suckered big time.
Once my business closed I had 4 years left to pay (still almost $3,000) on a machine I couldn't unload for $200. The calls started and now they have file a suit against me to collect. Help! How do I get out of this without paying through the nose???
