A very professional sounding woman called our company and asked for me by name saying that our owner (full name) had given her my name and said that I would be willing to help her out with lowering her office supply stock. Her company was relocating from here back to Missouri and they wanted to reduce the amount of stock that had to be shipped.
She listed out specific office supplies that we order on a regular basis and even knew some of the types that we used the most (such as lined post-it notes). She spoke very fast and made a lot of chit chat in between.
She made the whole thing more interesting by saying that she would give us 30 days to pay and then if we decided to keep ordering from them she would provide free shipping on our first 2 orders from them. She even gave the name of the company but no phone number as they didn't have it yet.
About 3 weeks later the shipment of 4 boxes came. We didn't open them and had UPS come pick them up and return to sender.
