My son signed with MTG last summer. He has had ONE job, and has yet to get paid. I got an e-mail from Keri Murphy a few days ago saying that because of "financial issues" she is closing the doors, and MTG will no longer be doing business!
NO ONE let us know there was any problems, NO ONE let us know beforehand that she'd be closing. She still owes my 7 year old son money! He never recieved a paycheck, even though he maid a few hundred dollars... And we were paying payments to get his comp-cards... We have not recieved comp cards, and we've not gotton our money back that we were paying!!!
If this is not a scam, I don't know what is. I'm just lucky we didn't have more money invested in this. We are our a few hundred dollars, but there are many more kids out there that are out much more. I don't even know what to do, now. Do we sue?
She completely closed the office, so you can't call or e-mail her. I tried calling several times only to be told the voicemail mailboxes were full. Big surprise. I am truely heartbroken for my son. He enjoyed this so much. I had to explain that Keri took his money. Can you imagine explaining that to a 7 year old? He is completely let down and is really upset. He was hoping to use his modeling money on something very special. Thanks, Keri Murphy.
