I was just visited on 10.30.08 by two college aged boys that came to my door selling magazine subscriptions. They were explaining they were raising money for a trip and it was a points system. If they get more points they can beat the girls team and go to the Bahamas. They explained that if they receive cash they get double points.
I took a look at the magazines offered and asked why they don't have ones like National Geographic and he said the company is too big.??? Ok... So I asked how much for the Metropolitan homes is and he said $39.00. Wow that is a lot I said and he said if you are not familiar with this magazine it is very expensive at barnes and nobles and comes with a DVD in each issue. I said 12 for 39? He said yea. Ok so like a sucker I gave him the check. After he reminded me yet again about the double points for cash.
After they took my money I looked at the receipt and it said that you can wait 90 to 120 days for the magazine subscription to start. ALSO you can find any phone or website just this place in Aubrey TX. So I looked up online and I found the rip off info. I have sent my receipt back to the company since it has been before 3 days when the receipt was written. And they will supposedly refund my money/not cash the check. I made copies of the receipt and sent it certified so we will see.
