Rip-off cashed check but never sent items consumer fraud rip-off

I ordered slippers for Christmas gifts. I filled out the form in the Sunday newspaper and sent a check to pay for the 2 pairs of slippers. I have not heard a word about the slippers but the check was cashed. I have sent letters, asking when I can expect a delivery but have never received a reply. Christmas has come and gone... And so has my money!
