Ripped me off for over one year by adding services to my phone number and attempted to rip me off again BlueBell Pennsylvania

I have noticed that other people have posted about one of these companies. To begin, Norristown Telephone added their service to my AT& T phone over one year ago without my permission. Because I pay my bills online, I had not noticed the charge but finally checked to see why my bill had gone up. I called Norristown Telephone and was told they would credit me back for three months but if I wanted additional credit I would have to email their corporate offices at [email protected] or write their corporate offices at Norristown Telephone, P.O. Box 1566, Bluebell, PA. 19422. The rep I spoke with told me the service offer had been sent to me in the form of a "card" that gave me "free" long distance services. I explained I had never gotten the card nor any mail from this company and had most certainly never agreed to their service. My next call was to AT & T. I was told that they would credit me back for 6 months of the service. When I asked why they had allowed a service to be added to my phone number "without" my permission I was told they had "no control" over these services they simply billed for them. At this point I was livid. I explained that it appeared this rip off would be highly illegal since I, and I alone was the only person considered as the "billing responsible party" for paying my phone bill and should be the first person contacted when a "third party vendor" chose to attach anything to my account. I asked if it was possible to have it put in my account that absolutely no one could add anything to my bill without my permission. I was told this was not possible.in other words, it is my bill for which I am responsible and my personal phone line that I pay a monthly charge for but anyone who wants can add trash to my line for which AT& T will happily bill me for on my bill even though I did not agree to the service. This smacks highly of a class action suit! I am in the process now of writing to AT& T's corporate offices to see just how many millions they want to pay out for allowing my privacy to be breached by "third party vendors." Then I get this months bill and find the Credit Find, Inc # has been attached to my AT& T bill. I call them beyond livid and find they have been added because "someone" whose name they gave me and who is definately not on my AT& T account since I am the only person on the account, went online and signed up for the service. They will be happy to stop and block the service and will credit me back but I will see one more bill with the charge because they bill twice a month! At this point I have decided if AT& T cannot stop these strangers from putting rip offs on my phone it is time I look for a phone company with better security that understands the meaning of the fact that when I alone sign up for a phone, absolutely NO ONE else has the right to invade my privacy by adding rip offs to my service! I am in the process of writing to every agency in Washington, D C to see what can be done about this invasion. No doubt, millions of Americans are being ripped off by these companys monthly or even daily with the blessing of Corporate America! I am beginning to think that perhaps we all should drop phone companies that allow this type of fraud to be perpatrated on our private accounts and then perhaps they will learn to value the privacy they tout they are offering us with their service. I will update this when I hear from Washington and AT&T.
