Warrantech gave stock to employees in a referral program that is worthless! I have spent more money trying to cash the stock in than what the stock is worth! I had to call the company and leave a message for someone to call me back to see how to sell the stock and no one ever called me back. Then I had to call New York (I'm in Texas) from work and spent an extended amount of time on hold creating a very large long distance bill for me to pay.
After all that I was told to send the certificate to New York so the "legal restriction" could be removed and they could send me a "real" certificate. Also, when I was employed at Warrantech, the majority of calls I got from people were complaints from service centers that the claims they sent in had not been paid. We were told to take a message and someone would get back to them. No one ever would, so the servicer would always call back very angry. It was so bad that I eventually left the company due to an anxiety attack caused by Warrantech!
I would NEVER buy anything from Warrantech, and tell everyone I know to never buy an extended warranty because they are worthless!
