Sprint has over-charged my monthly bill numerous times. I will explain only the most recent time.
I have 3 phones on my plan.
In April, my daughter's phone crashed, so we went to a local sprint store (Apple Valley, MN) to replace it. I had insurance on hers, so I thought it would be a simple process. Not so.
The store couldn't help us because we had insurance - we were required to contact customer service & order our "refurbished" phone - which would cost $50.00 in addition to the "replacement" insurance I had paid for for several months. After a few days, the phone arrived.
At that time, I was charged $50.00. A month later, I was charged an additional $50.00 for the same thing. I had to fight to get the second one credited back to my account. (Those were May & June bills.)
This month (July) I have an "equipment" charge of $200.00 on my bill. I have not purchased anything from them since the insured, refurbished, $50 phone in April.
They explain it as a "fee" for not sending her old phone back to them (the one that crashed) after purchasing the other one in April. My complaint is that I purchased the other one - it belongs to me, not them. How can they charge me for not giving them something that I own?
Once again, it took a fight with them to "possibly" get it refunded. They are "checking on it".
I'm sick of the continuous fights with them when they over-charge me - which is most months!
I am going to cancel my account with them, but on 2 of my 3 phones I will have to pay their fee for cancelling - even though I have been with them longer than the original agreed upon 2 years.
They start my 2 years over at their convenience so that I am stuck with them! This should be illegal!
I would love to have an audit of my account since I started with them, but I don't know how to go about it (yet).
I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!
