BYLINE MAGAZINE failed to live up to a legal, signed contract between myself and BYLINE MAGAZINE. I've e-mailed them several times in an attempt to recover my agreed upon fee and never received any response.
My work appeared in BYLINE MAGAZINE'S February issue.
Because of this, I have been denied the right to send the work they agreed to pay for upon publication elsewhere. I signed the contract in November. As I've never been paid for my work, I allege that BYLINE MAGAZINE has deprived me of that future income.
I would like to get this matter settled so I can submit my work elsewhere but have hesitated for fear of breaking laws. I don't know what the laws say about broken contracts between writers and publishers.
