Fix And More Bought bracelet, company called fix and more, says they can not add links!

So this is how it goes; I had a bracelet purchased for me, for Christmas (just so it is clear on how long this has been going on), it was bought by my boyfriend for me. It's a very nice id bracelet, engraved with my name and a date on the back of it.

To start with problem one: When the bracelet was bought they didn't supply him with a receipt, only a credit card slip, in which he no longer had. I understand you normally need to have a receipt, but being that it is a kiosk in the Florida Mall, the gentle men remembered him. I know this because about 3 months after that, we went him to have the bracelet enlarged and the two gentle men there, remembered him.

When we got there, we were told that they didn't have the links but assured us that they would order them so they could get it situated for us. Well we called a couple of times and still no luck.

Eventually after a while we just gave up, until about a week ago.

I call up there about a week ago and a woman answers, first tells me the two men don't work there any longer, then that they are just gone for the day, so which is it, the she explains that if we don't have a receipt there is no way for her to know that the bracelet was purchased there. I explain the 2 gentlemen know we bought it there and explain what happened previously and then she says that we can bring it in, and they can look to see if they recognize it. Which is great, I get to use time and gas because I will probably show up there and they will not have the links.

Which i think is hilarious seeing as, that is the main point of their company is to fix jewelry, but trust me when i say, it didn't seem like if anyone came in with a bracelet that they could fix it or that they would have the means.

So yesterday my boyfriend calls up there, confirms with "Sam" if we come up there that they will replace the links free of charge like we were told would be done in the beginning. I don't believe whether the two worked there or not, that their word should be bad, that's bad information that, if they lose an employee anything that was said previously unless documented (in a contract) give me a break, will not matter.

The point is they didn't offer to do anything for us to get it fixed.

We show up there and there it is, they don't have the links, and the best they can do is we can leave the bracelet and the owner can look at it and decide if they want to do anything. So that would be 3 hours at the mall, more gas money, and a major waste of my time, give me a break. We explain we want to check with some of the major jewelers and see if there is anything they can do.

Which is insane seeing as your company fixes jewelry, and sold us the damn bracelet. I'm sorry but if you can't fix your own product why would i trust you can fix other things!

Well so we go check with Zales, Gordon, Kay, many other jewelers, pretty much every one in the mall that we were aware of. Some told us they couldn't do much, others offer some sort of solution. It's funny though they all had the same suggestion, go to "FIX AND MORE" and to their surprise they were sending us in the direction of the person who sold the bracelet. It wasn't until they realized they were sending someone to another company because the company who sold it had done us wrong, was actually the company they send people to. We then were told of many complaints they actually have gotten recently, maybe the new workers, who knows, either way I doubt they will send many more people their way.

Well so we finally, 2 hours later, decided to go back and just leave the bracelet, as we didn't feel we should be responsible for it. We show up there and the jeweler, who speaks hardly any English, is the only one there, we explain that we just need to fill out one of the envelopes and leave the bracelet, but because he doesn't speak good English, we are told that we have to wait for the others. Then when he was there when we showed up earlier, he tells us that there isn't anything he can do as he wasn't there earlier, which is complete crap and I told him that, because he was there, he is the jeweler he stood there, held it, looked at it, but apparently has short term memory lose.

Yes I did get very upset with him, because we have just walked around 2 hours trying to find any means possible to fix a very special bracelet where it is wearable, and then I'm told I have to wait longer, he trys to bulls* me and then here is the topper. He actually pays attention to the bracelet this time and all of a sudden can speak pretty good English and explains the bracelet that we have is a "toddler bracelet". So when the bracelet was sold, instead of selling a bracelet for me, they sold a toddler bracelet without informing us that it of course would have to be enlarged unless I'm 3 years old.

Needless to say, I got nowhere with them, ended up going to Zales, thank goodness they agreed to help. They just put O-rings on it. It isn't the best that could have been done, but at least they offered to do something, unlike FIX AND MORE, who sold the bracelet and apparently can't do all they say they can do.

You all are unethical, rude, and should try putting someone who at least speaks good English at the counter, not inconveniencing people who shouldn't be responsible to speak Spanish, just because your employees don't speak English, that's bad business.
