Very deceptive, very illegal, very high turnover, not a very nice company to work fo

This is my story with what became the worst job experience I ever had.

Brent was the recruiter, Chris was the trip planner. My email said $1500 sign on bonus, that was a lie. They changed it to $1100. They only give you $100 at first, the next $500 at 6 months (if you make it that long) and the rest after a year. They charged me for the $35 drug screen. The bonus that they give you, they take it right back, so actually there is no sign on bonus. The first pay was put right on a comdata card. My gross was $295, bring home was $149. That included the orientation pay and that so-called bonus along with the 750 miles I drove for them, $35 drug screen deducted and the $130 lumper deduct. My next check was supposed to be direct deposited, but they sent it in the mail instead. That was full of deductions that just didn't make any sense. Basically an $1120.00 gross check ended up being $615 because they do not reimburse for lumpers. Yep, $290 in lumper charges that they don't pay for. Another thing they don't tell you is, instead of. 34 cpm, you are only getting. 30 cpm because. 04 cpm goes to a mandatory per diem that they tell you you get back in you income taxes. Well, excuse me, but the state takes my income taxes for child support arrearages, so I guess I am screwed out of that huh.

They flew me down to Nebraska for a next day 2-day orientation. They put me up in a hotel until I got my truck. They made me check out of the hotel, rechecked me into the hotel for a night, and the next day I had to sleep in the truck without any blankets or a pillow. I had to sit around 1 1/2 days before sending me out, and they were supposed to send me right home for the rest of my gear. That didn't happy right away. I had to sleep in a truck with no pillows or blankets, no food and not enough clothes. They told me I had to be out 7 days before getting a day off. So, 7 days before I got a day off, all that without my gear. That was a red flag.

The other red flag was when they started telling me I had to run a split driver log. They wanted me to drive for 5 hours, take 8 hours off, drive 6 more hours, take 10 hours off. Then they would call me while I was sleeping, issure me a load, expect me to leave right then and there during my 10 hours off time. They would qualcomm me also as I was sleeping asking me if I was driving. They would qualcomm me asking if I was there. Then they charge the driver for the Lumper fees, no being reimbursed. There was constantly relaying loads, only getting about 500 or less miles a time. They always were wanting me to go over hours and run my log book as off duty in metropolitan areas while driving so that I could go over my drive time. Chris told me to tear out a page of my log book so that I could change my actual hours so that I could drive. They were expecting me use the qualcomm time on my log book. They let me go after 3 weeks because I didn't want to run my log book the way they wanted me to. I did my log book legally, to do it their way would be illegal and if caught, big fines which they would happily deny any having to do with. The lady in "safety" yelled at Chris in front of me for what he did regarding tearing out the log book page, but it didn't do any good, I still lost my job.
