I was searching for some jobs on craigslist and seen an ad for government jobs, so clicked the link and its states that this company can find place into many different types of government jobs. I had recently graduated college with a two year degree and was hoping to get a government job within the scope of my degree. So I called and was contacted by Mr Hightower, and he asked what kind of jobs would I be interested in he asked either security or postal service, I stated no I would like to find a job that has something to do with my degree he said OK no problem can you come in tommorow, I said OK. He told me to come in with ID, S.S. Card, and a resume. The next day I went to their office and spoke with Mr. Hightower, he was explaining the benefits of working for the government including vacation time, all types of benefits, (I know this before I got there thats why I wanted a government job) then he explains what they do they will train me and find a job that will fit my degree and if I find a job the government will pay for schooling If I decide to further my education, so it sounded good to me. Next thing you know he says before anything can happen I need $476 to pay for the classes and the textbook and everything involved. I was unsure at first then he says weve been doing this for a long time, so I gave in and paid which I completely regret now. After this the next day I was to have a meeting with the director who is Katibu Hatcher to discuss the jobs and everything involved. I sat with him and filled out the local, state, and federal job applications, which made me feel more comfortable, because I kept thinking if it was a scam or not all day. So all the applications were filled out and I was to start class the second saturday coming up. The class was Administrative & Clerical, and was told this is a standard before any government job can be taken. So I went the first day and realized it was all females that did not speak english almost at all. That got me curious then at the end of the class I asked the instructor is this class for any government job like a standard class and test, she said yes so I thought Ok maybe its not a scam. During class the students were told that they will receive the textbooks the following week. The next week I had prior obligations so I couldnt make it. But I went the next week after. I showed up and it was the same basic grammer and math, what you learn in middleschool. So again at the end of class I spoke with the instructor and stated my worries that I think I was placed in this class just so they can take my money because this has nothing to do with the job I said I was looking for which is with my degree, not some ESL class. So I was told to speak with the director Mr Hatcher M-F 9-5, So I called tuesday and like I expected he wasnt in call back later, so I kept calling and kept getting voicemails that you cant leave messages because they are full, then finally someone got sick of me calling and picked and said call tommorow after 9 AM so I did and was asked who I want to talk to and when I said Mr Hatcher shes asked why am I calling I said that I think I was placed in the wrong class and she asked for my number and name and who signed me up. But noone ever called. One thing I am hoping for is that my credit card company can reverse the charges, I feel that would be the only way I can get my money back because I know this company is not going to return my money. So beware and i suggest not to deal with this company!!!
