When we activated service with Mediacom, Sept. 2007. That is, we got Cable TV and Internet. We were told that our phone would be installed within a week. I had to call several times, with an average of a 45 min. Wait, each time. I was told that my order had been lost. We finally got phone over 6 weeks after they promised it.
But when we started having problems with the cable TV reception, our complaints fell on deaf ears.
Mediacom sent our technicians 4 times now, with weeks of waiting time between calls. The problem still is not fixed.
TV screen freezes up then blacks out and then returns for about 20 seconds, before it repeats. The problem is worse during prime time.
Despite numerous phone calls and the filling out of several online complaint notices, our service is still not repaired.
My neighbors have already switched to Satellite Tv, and we are close to doing the same thing.
Sadly I noticed that there are quite a number of negative reports against Mediacom. Some date back 2 years. So, I don't really expect anything to happen. However, if I can keep just one person from signing up, it will have been worth it.
