City Wide Maintenance of Georgia, run by Scott Schonberger, in general is a facility maintenance and janitorial franchise company. They do a good job as marketing themselves as a management company as opposed to a cleaning company. Here is what they really do. They contract other companies to do the cleaning or other services needed. They get a price from the person who will be providing the work then mark it up a whopping 40%, plan on purchasing supplied from them? Those are marked up anywhere from 50%-200% depending on if they know how much you are currently spending.
So for that 40% mark up you might wonder what you will be getting. A company and individual that doesn't care, an company that will say they will take care of your needs but hang up and brush you off, however, if you are a minute late with your monthly payment they will be all over you. A company that doesn't do what they preach, they give a good act, let you think that they are the best, but for the up charge, your better off hiring a good company individually. A company that will only hire an ethnic minority if it is to clean a building, but not to work in their office. A company who doesn't care if they lose your business unless you are an account upwards of $2000.00 a month.
For you larger companies, hire yourself a facility manager, it will save you a lot of money in the long run and you know you will have someone looking out for what is best for you and your company.
