I contacted Angelo in June told me if I paid in full I would get $100 off my purchase and delivery would be late July early August. I did so much research there were no claims against him that I could find with the BBB at the time. I wish I had known about this site then. I love my dog and that is how they get you. He also told me there would be a $48 fee for the AKC papers. He needed a credit card number to hold the dog but no charges would appear until the dog is received.
My credit card bill came and he not only charged the account he overcharged my account $120, I called him and he claimed he never puts the charges through until the dog is received and would credit my account immediately. This of course never happened I spoke with him twice afterwards and he said "odd I fixed it let me check into it when I return to Monterey" supposedly he was in Massachutes changing the name of the business from Dustins Puppies to Manx. Of course after this my phone calls were never returned nor were my emails and I never received a refund.
I was in San Francisco on business in August and on a fluke I phoned him and his partner answered the phone. I sugguested that I could come by and pick up my dog and he said terrific, he would get back to me that evening to arrange a meeting place. Of course that never happened.
A week later the puppy arrived at my home and of course I was told that the vet check was being emailed to me as we speak. Never happened. I was told in a few days the AKC papers would arrive via Fed Ex. Never happened. Of course my credit card was also being credited this day in Aug. 2007. Never happened.
My puppy was full of fleas I instantly called the vet and made an appointment told him the story and how I feel I was scammed. I called and emailed every month asking when will I receive the papers and the vet papers. Never responded.
Yesterday, May 20 I took my dog to the vet because she has been crying when she gets up. She has severe hip displayshia and will require hip replacement surgery on both hips. Genetic disease, which his site claims they do not have. The cost is $5000. He guarantees his dogs but he never contacts you once you get one of his dogs.
Please help spread the word about this supposedly law student who steals from nice people that just want a physically well pet to bring into their family lives.
