Princeton Executive Group, Robert Milgroom, Jeffrey Shyne, Now Florida Executive Search Misled and Scammed Honest Out of Work Executive

I unfortunately appear to be another honest hardworking person who has been scammed by the Princeton Executive Group and its founder Robert Milgroom and henchman Jeffrey Shyne. My story is similar to others I have read about. I was looking for a search firm and sent their company an email through careerbuilder.com. I soon received a call from Princeton and was told they wanted to interview with me. I went in and met with Robert Milgroom who I admit could sell snow to an Eskimo. I was told I was one in several hundred out of many thousands of applicants who they believed could be placed in a high level job. Please let me say, that I have a law degree and have been in executive positions for over 11 years.

I spent over an hour with Milgroom and was very impressed by the pitch. I was told they had a 97% placement rate and specialized in the tri-county area only and that I was someone they felt could be placed quite easily. As suggested, I brought my fiance with me for my second one hour meeting and ended up signing a 3 year contract for $12,800, with $6400 to be paid upfront and an additional $6400 to be paid if they placed me at a set salary within 90 days of my marketing launch.

I went to their offices in Plantation and met with Jeff Shyne several times for homework assignments, personality tests, etc. I was not very impressed with him but was assured that he was an expert in this field. After several weeks I was told they had enough information to put my resume together and I could expect it soon via email. I did not receive the resume for almost 5 weeks, filled with typos and other quality issues. They then said that they had launched my campaign, this was now more than 2 months after signing a contract with them.

It is now almost 6 months later. I have never received an email, a prospective call or an interview from any potential employer. There was hardly any communication from Princeton Executive Group and it was almost impossible to get any response from them at all. The excuses were plentiful, they were travelling, sick, holidays, etc. I believe it is very possible and most likely probable that my resume was never sent anywhere. It is impossible that they sent my resume to over 150 companies and 70 headhunters and I never even received a call. This company is obviously a scam and I am certainly prepared to be a part of legal proceeding against them.

Quite frankly, these two need to spend some time in jail. They have taken advantage of people during desperate times and have done great damage to what appears to be dozens of good people. I, myself relied exclusively on this company for almost 5 months to find me a job as I believed they were my best opportunity in this difficult market. Although the $6400 is a substantial loss, not having a job for over 8 months has been much more costly. I began to do my own job searching finally because I realized that they weren't going to find me a job. I am a smart educated person and never believed I could be the victim of something like this, however, I was obviously wrong.

As of yesterday, their website princetonexegroup.com is no longer functional, their listings are no longer on careerbuilder.com or any other sites. They have appeared to start a new company called Florida Executive Search, also located in Plantation. The front page of the website, floridaexecutivesearch.com even has one box mistakenly marked The Princeton Campaign. The website is exactly the same as Princetons was, just a new name.

I believe we all need to group together and put these criminals away. We cannot allow these people to continue to scam good people out of their hard earned remaining money and damage their ability to obtain new employment. If something is not done, they will continue to injure and inflict pain to others.
