Alltel provided a free phone (LG) with 2-year contract. The phone cuts out so badly you can't carry on a conversation. They replaced the LG with another with the same result. Alltel's Customer Service mailed us another LG replacement phone but there was not very much improvement. When we returned to the Summerville, SC, store, they told us all they could do was to again replace the LG phone with another - OR - we could BUY another phone. We feel Alltel is obligated to provide us with a functional phone at no extra cost to us. Alltel doesn't agree - we either must keep the LG phone that doesn't function properly or cancel the 2-year contract for $200.00. We have talked with the Summerville store several times and also called Alltel's Customer Service several times - but the story remains the same. This is a ripoff!
