Thought I Was Winning A Car

My boyfriend and i went to the Taste Of Chaos concert and while we were there he signed the both of us up for numerous contests. About three weeks later i recieved a phone call stating that i was a finalist to winn either a 2008 Mustang, 25,000 cash, or a trip for 4 to Australia. All i needed to do was answer a few questions.

Bassically in order to stay a finalist i had to subscribe to 4 magazines 3 weekly and one monthly. I would get these magazines for 5 years but i would only have to pay 24.99 a month for 25 months. It actually sounded like a good deal. What they didnt tell me about was the extra charges. The 24.99 came out of my bank account as planned, then a charge for 4.95, then a charge for 1.00. I was not expecting these and didnt put the money in my account accordingly. My checking account overdrafted 3 times and it cost me almost 100 dollars.

Everything was spelled out to me very clear... EXCEPT all of these extra charges. Plus that watch your supposed to get no matter what... Yeah it never came. Im not that worried about it im not a big watch person and it would probably turn my wrist green within an hour but still.

Bottom line... Be smart dont give your account number over the phone for anything
