This company calls your business asking to confirm a *previously approved* yellow pages advertisement and/or update your current advertisement with them. My business partner unknowingly confirmed our address for this company, thinking I must have placed the ad. This is a total scam! They are now calling to collect hundreds of dollars for the ad and late charges. However, they are willing to accept pennies on the dollar if we agree to pay a small portion of the total due. I told them they had obtained this "approval/confirmation" fraudulently by mis-stating that it was for a previously approved ad, and that we would never pay this bill. Has anyone out there experienced this and how did you resolve the problem?!
