I purchased the Target HOME brand (TARGET LOGO ON BACK OF PLATE!!!) stoneware sets, plates, bowls the whole 9 yards! I purchased these only 3-4 months ago and they now cracking and falling apart! THEY SAY DISHWASHER SAFE clear as day on the back! I never used them in the microwave (my mothers advice). They have the Target logo on them and yet Target will not take responsibility, instead they directed me to thier manufactering company Gibson inc. I have these plates physically to show the cracks and breaks, while I do not have the reciept I just wanted the plates replaced I have bowls and salad plates to match and they are just fine but now my set of 8 dinner plates is a set of 5... I thought Target had more class, in fact I used to prefer them over Wal-mart but now I see I was oh so wrong. Walmart bends over backwards to make things right with their quality assurance program (receipt or not if it has thier logo on it they fix the problem).in fact I was in a Wal-mart with no receipt on an item and because it was obviously theirs and I had the barcode they gave me an exchange... And another time when they charged me the wrong price they slashed another 10 dollars off of my total purchase for the mistake and called it a part of their qaulity assurance program! How come target does not do that? These plates have the f-ing target logo on it and barcode was given to the boy on the phone too! I have the whole damn set if they want to see it!!! Plates, salad plates, bowls, and salad bowls too! I am not some a$hole trying to get money, I just want to replace the bad plates! The Target store did not want to deal with it and passed the buck onto their customer service kid, that kid did not want to do anything but waste my time, lie to me and then direct me to GIBSON INC. AND that company said I am screwed - they cannot do anything about it! Target is trashy. Their products suck and they don't care even when I have the barcodes!!! If they will not listen to me then I will complain EVERYWHERE that I can! AND I will be sure to call the Better Business Bureau!
