On Dec. 18, I purchased a gift card worth $50 for a nephew, and was promised that it would be received before Dec. 25th. No delivery, and was promised it should arrive by Jan. 1st. No delivery occurred, so I requested that they reissue the card. I was charged an additional $5 for a service. I objected, but was told I agreed to it.
If that is indeed the case, it was not clear and up front. Had I known I was taking such a risk, I wouldn't have proceeded with purchasing the product.
