On Black Friday, I waited online for 6 hours to get the advertised laptop for $349 with the free HP printer after $70 mail-in rebate.
I filled out ALL the information on the staples easyrebates online submission form. If it was missing any information, it would not except the information before sending it. I was sure everything was filled out anyway.
I received a letter in the mail saying the offer was declined because the Easy Rebates ID submitted was missing required information for the product purchased.
I basically I was promised a rebate of $70 for a printer that I gave to someone as a christmas present along with the laptop & other items from Staples. However, Staples & HP will not honor the rebate.
This is fraud & dishonest business practices. Now I am out $70.
I called the 800 number, but they will not answer the phone lines "due to high call volumes." Which is just a BS recording that nobody believes is the real reason.
