The Right One Dating Service
Dating Service a Scam

I was searching the internet for an authentic actual dating service. I came across "The Right One" and filled out the questionaire online. You are given no information other than all their success stories and big promises claiming to be better than anyone else as far as a match making service goes. They claim something like a match every 18 seconds.

I was contacted a few days later by a client services person. They gave me their whole spill about how well they checked out their own clients and that this sorted out all the liars and deadbeats. I went ahead and thought it sounded good and decided to go to the nearest office to meet them. I went to Austin Texas and into a very swanky nice office complex. I met with a male coounselor and answered a lenghty questionire and then let him take my picture.

After sitting there for an hour or so, I was offered three packages silver, gold and maybe platinum. I was asked about tons of thigs in my dating life and how much I spent and all the usual promises people give you. Finally, the guy says he had a deal for me and the price was something like $4,000 with a guarentee of meeting at least 10 females in my area.

I told him I could not afford that and he ahd to call "the man". He came back with a special deal and it had dropped like $1000. I was told that if I met someone and actually got hooked up with them that I could sell the membership and not have to continue the payments once it had been sold. I decided to go aahead and do it based on the qaulity of females I was told they had.

What a lie! The first one I called was impossible to talk to to and had no idea I lived one hour away from her location. She had no interest and wanted someone closer. At that point I called the service and the guy that had opened my account was no lobger there so I had to deal with a female support person. She said she would calle th lady and did and never said anything about it but I started getting dead end calls almost 2x a week with matches.

Everyone I spoke with was either to busy to meet or they did not want anyone an hour away. Finally I called and emailed them back and told them that I wanted out and that this was nothing short of a ripoff. They gave me the home office number and I called adn told them to cancel the account and I did not want the memebership anymore. I never laid eyes on one single person that they matched me with. I talked to 3 people total and they all lived about an hour away.

The only thing they have done to date is that they stopped returning calls and they stopped sending any and all leads, but they sure have NOT stopped debiting my account for the $200 they get every month for nothing. Not one single thing have they done. I called the bank to see if I could stop the debits. The only thing they could do was to close the account completely. The Right One is nothing short of a total scam and rip off. You never speakto the same person twice and they never follow through with anything. The guy that signed me up said they have 1,400 members in Central Texas.

Total and complete lie. They threaten you with a lawsuit and all attorney fees and the such. They use very high pressure to both scare you and make you abide by the rules they set forth. There is no way to cancel or get out of it and if you show up there, they make you pay something for the appointment. Class act of a scam. If there is anyway that a list can be put out for people wanting to gather a class action lawsuit for this company, then I am in. I never been more blatantly ripped off in my entire life.
