I agree that this agency is a rip off. I went to a "talent search" with my 4 year old daughter, to see about getting her into some modeling or commercials.
She performed for these people, and we were told that she was one of the top prize winners. We received a call later that day, asking us to come to the office to claim her prize. When we arrived, the representative raved about my daughter, and told me how they never even consider children under the age of 7, but that she was so talented they wanted to give her an opportunity. They told me she was going to be featured on the cover of a local magazine, and that she had won $2,000 in acting and modeling lessons. They took some of her photos provided by me, and set up another appointment. When i showed up for the next appt, they asked me for a $500 check, and told me that it would be a total of somewhere around $6000 for their "expo" that they were sending us to.
I questioned what the expo was, and they informed me that she would perform and there was a possibility she could get work. At this point i realized it was a big money making scam for them, and told them we were not interested in investing that kind of money without any firm work shown to us. They claimed that the only way she would get work is if we moved to orlando, for disney opportunities, or to new york or california.
She was never featured on the local magazine either.
