I contracted with allied waste for a set fee of $71. Oo per month for a 6 yd. Dumpster for 5 yrs. After 12 months they added a " fuel surcharg " of $24.00 per month. This took several phone calls and the best I could do was to get it reduced to $12.00 per month. Six months later my monthly fee goes up from $71.00.. As agreed to, to $77.00.
I called them on this and they said there is a cost reclamation clause in the contract which allows this. Evidentally thier 'costs' have gone up?! I argued if they are concerned about 'cost' going up then DO NOT enter into long term contracts.
Also when you do sign a contract if you elect to cancel it you had better do so in writing with certified return reciept mail at least 30 days before your renewal, which will be for a term of your original contract. BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH ALLIED WASTE THEY ARE THIEVES!
They may have my business now but rest assured I will not be with them next time.
